Rockstar launches the Collector’s Box “Vice City Collection” at €399.99 – GTA 6 sold separately

Rockstar Games officially announced the “Vice City Collection”, a limited edition Collector’s Box dedicated to the new chapter of Grand Theft Auto VI. The collection, called “The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection”, will be available from 19 November 2026 and will have a price of 399.99€. The box does not include the game itself, which must be purchased separately, confirming the nature of the product as a premium collection of official merchandise for the most avid fans. What does the “Vice City Collection” contain? The package includes 11 collection objects dedicated to both Vice City and Leonida: a statuette of Macca the Gator (with hidden compartment), Oakley Frogskins black opaque sunglasses, a shoulder bag dedicated to Leonida, a hat New Era, a magnetic mirror with the face of Macca, a small glass with the figure of Chunkee the Manatee souvenir, a cocktail spoon, a pin The poster, printed on both sides, presents a facade dedicated to the setting of Vice City and Macca the Gator and the other side is a panoramic map of Leonida. The price of €399.99 sets the “Vice City Collection” as a collector’s item aimed at a specific audience, while the separation of the purchase of the game further emphasizes its status as a premium product. Il prezzo – 399,99€ – lo rende inequivocabilmente un oggetto indirizzato a una nicchia di mercato ben precisa: i collezionisti più incalliti, quelli che considerano GTA VI non solo un videogioco ma un vero e proprio investimento. La quantità di oggetti inclusi, undici in totale, offre un valore aggiunto significativo e giustifica, almeno parzialmente, il costo elevato. L'attenzione ai dettagli – Macca the Gator, gli occhiali da sole, la borsa a tracolla dedicata a Leonida – dimostra un tentativo di catturare l’essenza dell’ambientazione e dei personaggi del gioco. Tuttavia, il fatto che il gioco stesso non sia incluso nel pacchetto è un elemento critico. E' un prezzo alto per ricevere solo oggetti di merchandising, lasciando intendere una strategia mirata a massimizzare il profitto indipendentemente dal coinvolgimento diretto del giocatore nell’esperienza di gioco. Il design del poster doppio-facce, con la mappa completa di Leonida e la facciata dedicata a Vice City, suggerisce un'attenzione alla cura dei dettagli che va oltre il semplice oggetto da collezione.
