Netflix Recognises Creators: No Copyright Threatening for GTA VI's Authentic Look

After the announcement of Rockstar Games about the premiere of Grand Theft Auto VI's "An Extended Look" on Netflix, a question concerned creators who analyze and comment on similar content. If the publication of the unpublished material of GTA 6 on Netflix would result in the risk of copyright infringements and then the application of sanctions? The answer, apparently, is negative. A Netflix spokesman told Steve Vegvari that creators are free to cover the "Extended Look" video as they prefer once it is available, including reaction videos, analysis and breakdown. This news is significant: usually, after a great reveal of Grand Theft Auto, you quickly generate a wave of secondary content, such as stream of reactions, frame analysis for frames or video “all you lost”. This type of material helps to quickly spread information about the game. Normally, Netflix content is strictly controlled and their legal actions are comparable to Take-Two Interactive. Even just clipping a Netflix program could lead to immediate removal. As a result, many creators had questioned whether the Netflix preview material would be treated as a Netflix program, banned from discussion, or would follow the same approach as Rockstar Games trailers, accessible to everyone. This "closed" scenario made the event less open and spontaneous. However, this Netflix decision relieves creator concerns, allowing them to realize content without having to fear blocks or removals. Netflix's strategy is not to limit the spread of the material, but to create an explosion of content created by fans that will expand the scope of the marketing campaign. If you're a creator who wants to cover the "Extended Look" video, you can do it immediately at his debut and fans won't have to wait six hours to start unvising each second of the video. The analysis will begin to spread in the minutes after its publication, just like with the first two trailers. The question remains is: what reserves Rockstar Games to its fans until August 27th?
