Take-Two confirms GTA VI exit for 19 November: "exceptional" and special Netflix

Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is still scheduled for November 19, reasserting that the works proceed according to the plans. The company highlights a growing interest and "exceptional" preorders, but does not disclose precise numbers. Also "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look", the special coming on August 27 exclusively on Netflix, will help fuel the wait in the months preceding the release of the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. In the financial report of the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27, Take-Two stressed that the Grand Theft Auto series again exceeded expectations. GTA V has reached 230 million copies sold worldwide and the recurring expenditure of players through microtransactions has increased by 3%. The net revenues of the company have reached 1,39 billion dollars, exceeding the internal forecasts, while for the entire fiscal year an objective between 8 and 8.2 billion dollars is confirmed, driven by the arrival of GTA VI. Parallel to the launch of the new chapter, Take-Two highlighted the success of NBA 2K26 (12 million copies distributed and +9% compared to NBA 2K25) and continuous support for titles such as Borderlands 4, Sid Meier's Civilization VII and WWE 2K26. Looking at the future, the company predicts that the current fiscal year will represent a "turn point", thanks above all to the release of GTA VI and development projects such as Judas, Project Ethos and the next BioShock.
