Lucia Caminos denies the role in GTA VI: "A career target"

Lupe's dubbing machine, Alexandra C. Echavarri Lecároz, made a stir on social media after a live on Instagram that seemed to confirm her presence in the new chapter of Grand Theft Auto VI. The hype around the title is at the stars, with the expected reveal trailer in December and a continuous succession of leaks on the planned secondary activities and on the evolution of GTA Online. As already known, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the two main protagonists of the game, confirmed by official trailers. However, Lupe's dubbing statement triggered a new wave of speculation. Lecároz had previously referred to a possible participation in GTA 6, coming from a leak in September 2022. In the live, the voice actress explained that her involvement in the shoes of Lucia in GTA 6 is still the subject of a confidentiality agreement (NDA), confirming that she did not work directly to the new game. Recalling his role in the original game, where he helped players manage their warehouses in GTA Online, he said: “This was a goal of my career and I am so grateful that it was realized... I never thought I could be the voice of a hardcore girl.” Despite the denial, fans continue to feed their expectations. As with Andrew Garfield's statements in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Lecároz's claim remains suspicious and his involvement in GTA 6 remains firmly protected by a confidentiality agreement. It remains to be seen if the situation will change with the arrival of the reveal trailer in December.
