GTA VI: Rockstar Updates – Everything we learned this week

With less than two months on the arrival of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, Rockstar Games is opening the doors. Game Informer has published its cover dedicated to GTA 6 Tuesday, interviewing several members of Rockstar's leadership, including co-director Aaron Garbut and senior vice president of Rupert Humphries. The feature fills many of the blanks left by the extended look of 27-minute Netflix in August, particularly as regards the setting of the game, its systems and how much Florida Rockstar is trying to insert into a single map. That's all we've learned again, plus a brief review of what we already knew. What we knew The bases have been fixed for a while. GTA 6 follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a criminal couple with which players can alternate. I'm a couple like Bonnie and Clyde, and you're responsible for the treatment or breakup of their relationship. The game returns to Vice City, the Miami interpretation of Rockstar, within the fictional state of Leonida. The Mashable distribution of the extensive look of Netflix covered a lot of playing ground. A slow motion pointing mode, an indicator of morality or honor in the form of a small demonic head and interactions with PNGs in the style of Red Dead Redemption 2. We also know that there will be car racing, ski jump parades, and a more detailed car robbery system. Most of the support cast had been introduced even before, although the summary of Game Informer includes a funny detail: actor Stephen Root said it gives voice to Brian Heder, a drug-trading veteran who assigns missions and makes Jason live for rent in one of his properties. Leonida is the greatest world ever created by Rockstar According to Garbut, Leonida is the largest world ever built by Rockstar. It is about twice the size of the map of GTA 5 and is denser, with many more internal. Garbut summed up Florida's charm as "America raised to the tenth power." Game Informer confirmed that the map has six main regions: Vice City, Leonida Keyes, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. Rockstar Senior Vice President for Environmental Art, Paul MacPherson, told Game Informer that the team studied North Florida cities such as Jacksonville, Panama City and Ocala. That region promises trails for ATV, a party in the muddy park, night demolitions, farms and fish fishing. Don't expect a Disney World parody, though. When Game Informer asked about the theme parks of Orlando and the Space Coast, MacPherson did not confirm anything. He said that the team had to restrict which points of reference they entered the cutting and suggested that those exact locations might not be in the game. The relationship between Jason and Lucia is your decision The breeding of the relationship between Jason and Lucia, as indicated above, is not new. What is new is that Jason and Lucia always remain partners, but players decide whether they become friends or a romantic couple.
