According to various advertisements and news reports, such as an in-game television commercial on CNT in Grand Theft Auto V featuring the Bison, Gauntlet, and Buffalo S, Bravado neared bankruptcy around 2013 and was subsequently bailed out by the United States government using taxpayer funds. Weazel News later reported that Bravado requested an additional bailout amid growing criticism of the government's bailout program. The automaker also allegedly squandered $23 billion in public funds on a failed green car initiative. This scenario serves as a parody of the real-world 2008–2010 automotive industry crisis. The Banshee GTS, released as part of the Agents of Sabotage update for Grand Theft Auto Online, introduced a mildly refined version of Bravado's iconic bull logo and badge, which also appears on the vehicle's "Bravado Racing" livery.
