Gauntlet Interceptor

The Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor is a two-door police muscle car appearing in Grand Theft Auto Online and due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. The Gauntlet Interceptor was added as part of the continuation of The Chop Shop update, released on March 7, 2024, during The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid Week event. The vehicle previously appeared in official Grand Theft Auto VI media prior to its release in Grand Theft Auto Online, similar to the Walton L35 Stock and Buffalo STX Pursuit. Two instances of the Gauntlet Interceptor can be seen attending the scene of an overturned Vapid SUV on a busy Leonida highway in the first trailer (1:04). The vehicle is operated by a highway patrol agency, with a black and tan two-tone livery seemingly based on that of the Florida Highway Patrol. What appears to be the Seal of Leonida can be seen on the trunk, while on the front fenders are yellow markings. It features interior emergency lighting mounted above the front windshield and a traffic advisor lightbar on the rear parcel shelf. The Gauntlet Interceptor is the law enforcement variant of the Gauntlet Hellfire, which is primarily based on the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon (LA). The Interceptor variant is likely inspired by several fictional and real-life third-generation LC-LA series Dodge Challenger police interceptors. Notable examples include the 2009 Challenger R/T used by the Broward County Sheriff's Office in Florida, the 2019 Challenger R/T used by the Florida Highway Patrol, the 2013 Challenger SRT8 and 2020 Challenger SRT Hellcat used by the Texas Highway Patrol, and the fictional SCPD 2010 Challenger SRT8 from the 2010 video game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. The steel wheels are directly inspired by the Mopar Police Pursuit Wheel (MPN 68206561AA). The "Custom Emergency Lighting 2" lightbar is based on the Whelen Liberty SX/II, featuring colored lenses. The vehicle shares most of its design and features with the Gauntlet Hellfire, but is depicted as a police car, equipped with steel wheels, several lightbars and additional police equipment inside.
