Locust

The Ocelot Locust is a two-door speedster added to Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of the The Diamond Casino & Resort update, and due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. The Locust has appeared throughout the Grand Theft Auto series, returning from the 2D Universe. The Locust was added with The Diamond Casino & Resort update, released on August 29, 2019, during the Locust Week event. The Locust briefly appeared in the September 2022 GTA VI leaks in a single clip, where it was seen driving past Lucia in green and yellow, visible in the top left corner of the screen behind the debug interface. The Locust returns to Grand Theft Auto Online, assuming a design based on the 2015 Lotus 3-Eleven. The headlamps are derived from the Honda HSV-010 GT, while the front bumper seems to be inspired by the one found in the Lotus Evora. The rear fascia is heavily inspired by the Aston Martin CC100 and the Zenos E10. The interior might have been inspired by the Lotus 2-Eleven. The Locust is depicted as a modern open-top race car, calling back to the open top and racing pedigree of the original 2D Universe Locust. The most notable detail of the vehicle is its lack of windshield, opting for a black low-profile wind deflector stretching over the dashboard. Other details, such as the exposed fuel intake on the hood, carbon fiber rear end and tail light housings, and its pre-installed wing make the vehicle's racing purpose clear. The Locust's functionality is largely typical of a sports car, with the rear hatch opening to access the vehicle's engine. The front trunk, however, does not open to a storage compartment, instead opening to reveal the vehicle's presumed fuel cell, the intake hatch of which is exposed when the front trunk is closed. The Locust's interior uses modified variant of the "Race Generic" interior type seen on the Drift Tampa. This variant features a solid color dashboard and uses a digital speedometer. he primary colour of the car is applied on the body and the stitches on the steering wheel, while the secondary colour is applied in the form of twin wide stripes passing through the whole car and on the cabin arch frame. Although not accessible, the trim colour is applied to the paddings on the optional "Roll Cage" modifications, while the dial colour is applied to the "Colored Seats" options (though they are set to black in purchased examples). Its wheels use the same five-spoke rim design as the T20. The Locust is a well-performing vehi
