The wait for GTA VI continues to grow, with the planned launch for autumn 2026. Rockstar Games is aware of expectations and, after the acquisition of the Video Game Deluxe development team, new voices emerge regarding the potential price of the game, which could reach $100 or more. According to Michael Pachter, general manager of stock research at Wedbush Securities, Take-Two Interactive – Rockstar's parent company – plans to sell GTA VI at an unprecedented cost. “We believe that the company intends to sell the game at an unprecedented price of $100 or more per copy,” said Pachter in a recent research note. “It is likely that Take-Two offers consumers an incentive to justify this figure, as a consistent amount of game currency to use in GTA Online. ” This strategy could be supported by the continuous success of GTA Online, which remains one of the main revenue sources for the company. Integrating the multiplayer compartment into the launch package of GTA VI could justify a higher cost, considering its popularity at a distance of more than ten years since its debut. Rockstar is expected to prepare meticulously for the launch of GTA VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with the release confirmed for autumn 2026, while later PC versions will arrive. It remains to be seen whether the price will actually follow this revolutionary trend or if it will maintain more traditional standards. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos will be at the center of the action in the trailers and the first images released by Rockstar.
