GTA 6: Potential 60 FPS on PS5 Pro Thanks to Sony-Rockstar Collaboration

The leaker Detective Seeds revealed an interesting collaboration between Rockstar Games and Sony to optimize the performance of GTA VI on PlayStation 5 Pro, potentially allowing 60 frame gameplay per second. According to his information, PlayStation engineers are working closely with Rockstar to fully exploit the new technologies planned for May 2026, especially the implementation of FSR 4 on PS5 Pro. The collaboration is part of a marketing agreement that aims to ensure the highest level of fluidity on PS5 Pro, where GTA VI should offer different graphical settings to reach 60 fps. The source, known for its alleged detailed information (such as the Oblivion Remastered leak), also suggests that Sony could make changes to the console hardware by that month to further optimize performance. As for Xbox Series X and S, there are currently no specific references. However, it is possible that Rockstar can also offer different graphical modes on these platforms, although with lower resolutions or a lower general fluidity. The software house could still take advantage of the postponement of the game (which is now set for May 26, 2026) to improve optimizations. It is also assumed that this collaboration can lead to the release of bundle console + game, in conjunction with the launch of GTA VI. The deal could extend to other Rockstar titles in the near future, including next-gen updates for Red Dead Redemption 2. It is important to note that this information must be taken with caution, considering the variable reliability of the leaker.
