Take-Two worried about console prices: Zelnick points to cloud gaming

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed concern at increasing hardware and gaming-related costs, stressing that it can reduce software sales. However, the company sees a potential breakthrough in cloud gaming. “The increase in hardware cost is not a good thing,” said Zelnick, pointing out that a more affordable price for hardware could lead to increased sales. The manager expects an increase in the role of open platforms such as PCs and, above all, cloud streaming within three years, with the aim of "decuplicating the actual installed base", opening new opportunities for widely desired titles, even outside the main markets. Zelnick also reiterated that the future of the digital market is now discounted, pointing out that the discs are no longer relevant to the modern consumer.
