Rockstar reveals the first radio stations of GTA VI: an unprecedented sound immersion

Rockstar Games unveiled the first radio stations of Grand Theft Auto 6, allowing players to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Leonida by listening to music while exploring the world of play. The announcement appeared on the official website of the studio, where Rockstar promises “the widest selection of radio stations and never varied in the game”. There were six radio stations, each with an audio preview and official graphics, to make understand the atmosphere that will characterize the gameplay. The available radio stations are: Cocoteo FM is dedicated to the best contemporary Latin music, conducted by El Martillo and La Gata, ranges from bachata to merengue, to dembow and reggaeton. Described as "the party that never turns out", offers a vibrant and engaging musical experience. Back Country Radio proposes “rebel” country with MW and Delta Dawne, which broadcast towards Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn and beyond. To complete the program there is Mud Dog Mike, traveling envoy and "meteorologist of the marshes", as well as not too secret lover of Delta, who connects from the place of guide of his aerobarca of Grassrivers. AfroBank FM is entrusted to Burna and Palmsy, a duo that selects the best of African music: from the classics of the twentieth century to the little known songs, up to current sounds like amapiano and 3-step. For heavy metal enthusiasts there is The Chamber 106.6, where DJ Kerry and DJ Tom propose classical metal of the eighties and later, recalling the metal roots of Leonida. Flash FM is instead a pop radio, defined as an institution of Vice City, with Robyn and Alex: music designed to dance "where you are in the State of Good Life". It closes the Dirty South Classics list, with Trick and Trina, which offer “a bit of Southern hospitality” through classics of regional rap and hip-hop, for those who “represented Leonida and South” from the beach to the neighborhood. Rockstar also announced the inclusion of "a series of podcast on demand". Radio and podcast can be listened to both driving and walking, thanks to headphones and earphones connected to the characters' smartphones. This new element further enriches the game experience and allows a greater immersion in the world of GTA VI. The announcement adds a crucial to the promotional campaign of the game, focusing on an element that has always contributed to the fascination of the series: the soundtrack and the satirical tone of broadcasts, while without hidden political messages. No details have been provided on the other broadcasters, nor on the total number of stations and podcasts provided, which will probably be made known in the future. To listen to the unveiled radio previews, go to the official Rockstar Games page.
