GTA 6 on PC in 2027? The indiscreet announcement of Twitch and Rockstar

The launch of the Grand Theft Auto VI multiplayer compartment could be postponed to 2027, a few months after the release of the main game. The information comes from Dan Clancy, CEO of Twitch, who during an interview in Bloomberg at the Tokyo Game Show shared the results of the talks with Rockstar Games. The study has not yet issued official communications regarding online mode or provided an exit date. Clancy explained that Twitch spent time discussing Rockstar Games, focusing on GTA VI's plans and strategies to involve creators. His statements are based on direct contacts with the team, although the forecast of 2027 remains an executive hypothesis and not an official confirmation from the study. Twitch CEO predicts a strong increase in viewers on Twitch in conjunction with the GTA VI output. A further impulse should arrive in the course of 2027, the year planned for the debut of the multiplayer, based on the temporal context of the statement. Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. If Clancy's indication proves correct, Rockstar would separate the main campaign from the multiplayer mode, without being known details about the structure or name of the new online section. A subsequent launch of the multiplayer would follow the model of GTA Online, debuted in 2013 and contributed to the longevity of Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar has not yet clarified if the next online project will follow the same path, nor officially presented a successor tied to GTA VI. Take-Two Interactive has specified that GTA Online will continue to receive support even after the release of GTA VI. The confirmed calendar remains limited to the main game of 19 November 2026, while the possible multiplayer in 2027 remains for now linked to Clancy's statements.
