Less than 20 days will separate the audience from the debut of the Extended Look on GTA VI, a detailed video created in collaboration between Rockstar Games and Netflix. The broadcast, available on the streaming platform from 27 August to 21:00 (and then at 03:00 in Italy), will be made possible thanks to the agreement with the parent company Take-Two Interactive, as stated by Strauss Zelnick, CEO of the company. Despite a certain reticence of Zelnick to deal with certain questions, Take-Two’s boss called the preview a “unmissable event”, underlining that the aim of the partnership is to amplify the scope of the game and reach a wider audience than it could consult the official channels. As Jason Schreier of Bloomberg recalls, Rockstar Games has already collaborated with Netflix hosting iconic titles such as GTA San Andreas and the first Red Dead Redemption on the platform, with over 325 million subscribers worldwide. The Extended Look will provide a preview of the gameplay, with Zelnick suggesting that “looking him will understand better”, evoking the idea of a TV show on Netflix. The event was scheduled for November 19, official launch date on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, where the game continues to record an impressive number of preorders, confirming its popularity. Despite discussions about the choice to present gameplay on a paid platform, the Extended Look is a unique opportunity for fans to see in GTA VI action before its official release.
