Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive announced the publication of the long-awaited "Extended Look" dedicated to Grand Theft Auto VI, scheduled for August 27. The preview will be broadcast exclusively on Netflix at 20:00 Italian (CEST), then available on the official channels of Rockstar Games on August 28, at 02:00 Italian. The video, of the duration not yet disclosed, will offer an in-depth look on the new chapter of the series, after months of speculation powered by film trailers and short glimpses of the ambition. Collaboration with Netflix is a significant turning point in game marketing, following the previous experience with "Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition" for mobile devices. Brandon Riegg, vice president of Netflix's non-fiction series, commented on the initiative, emphasizing the "expectation and unprecedented passion" around Grand Theft Auto VI. At the moment, Rockstar Games has not released specific details about the video content or the expected duration. It remains to be seen if the film will finally show gameplay sequences, after so far the official material has limited itself to film trailers and short glimpses of the setting. The Extended Look could be a crucial opportunity to present the game mechanics more concretely and appease the community expectation, one of the highest ever recorded in the video industry. L’entusiasmo che si respira in community è palpabile. Il fatto che Netflix sia coinvolta, dopo l’esperienza con “The Trilogy”, mi convince poco di un approccio puramente videoludico. La scelta di Vice City come ambientazione, se confermata dal filmato, potrebbe essere una mossa strategica per sfruttare la riconoscibilità del titolo e attirare un pubblico più ampio rispetto alla solita fanbase GTA. Ricordo quanto fu importante l'impatto che ebbe la riedizione su mobile: una fetta consistente di persone giunse alla saga grazie a quell’occasione, forse anche questo Extended Look potrebbe portare nuovi giocatori interessati alla storia e al mondo di GTA VI.
