Grand Theft Auto VI continues to generate enormous enthusiasm even before its launch. Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that the new chapter of the Rockstar Games series is scheduled for 19 November 2026, but above all it has revealed a significant figure: the preorders of GTA 6 have taken off exceptionally, exceeding the company's internal expectations. The confirmation comes from the recent financial results of Take-Two, which illustrate an extremely positive situation for the most anticipated video game of the year. According to CEO Strauss Zelnick, the initial demand for GTA 6 has been defined “without priors”, although the company has chosen not to disclose the specific numbers of preorders. The most interesting data is about reservations. Take-Two explained that the response of the public after the opening of orders, which took place on June 25, was clearly higher than the internal forecasts, called "exceptional". Zelnick has used even stronger terms to describe the enthusiasm shown. Despite the enormous interest, Take-Two does not intend to release the overall numbers of preorders for now, due to the difficulty of distinguishing between additional demand and purchases expected in the weeks after the launch. The signal remains extremely important: GTA 6 is attracting a huge number of players already months before its arrival. Considering the historical weight of the series, this result could only be the beginning. The release date, set for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, remains unchanged. Take-Two confirms that he is on the road to respect the launch window announced by Rockstar Games, with GTA 6 intended to play a key role in achieving the company's financial objectives, which aims at Net Bookings between 8 and 8.2 billion dollars, largely thanks to the success of GTA V (which exceeded 230 million copies sold).
