Burger Motorsports Closes for GTA VI Day One: An Unexpected Marketing Strategy

The wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 continues to grow, and the consequences are already in the spotlight. An American company, Burger Motorsports, announced the closure of its activities for the day of release of the game, on November 19, 2026, due to the huge interest of employees wishing to participate in the experience. According to a press release issued by the company, the decision was taken after assessing potential conflicts with working hours and the impossibility to ensure the normal conduct of business operations. The document, shared on social media, reveals that “the almost all of the employees have been put on holiday for the day one of GTA 6, so much so as to make normal activity impossible”. A statement published by Burger Motorsports includes these words: "To all personnel, customers, retailers and partners, Burger Motorsports will take a temporary business break on Thursday 19 November 2026. After examining numerous conflicts with employee shifts, the management established that normal business activities could be affected by the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Several team members have already notified the management that they will be unavailable, unavailable and/or 'a Vice City' for the whole day. " Temporary closure is planned as a marketing strategy aimed at creating buzz around the event, a behavior that, according to the forecasts, will be repeated in many other sectors in view of the release of GTA 6. Take-Two Interactive's CEO reiterated his commitment to maintaining the launch date of the game set for 19 November 2026. Title details: * Title: Grand Theft Auto VI * Exit date: 19 November 2026 * Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X * Genre: Action * Developer: Rockstar Games * Publisher: Take-Two Interactive VERDETTO: MISTO Il gesto di Burger Motorsports è decisamente inusuale e, ammettiamolo, un po’ esagerato.
