GTA 6: Rockstar pushes on the surprise effect with the upcoming Extended Look on Netflix and the upcoming expectations
There are expected video games. And then there's Grand Theft Auto VI. The difference may seem like a simple matter of size, but it actually tells something much bigger. GTA 6 is not only the new chapter in the most important series of video game history; it has become an event capable of attracting attention even to those who normally do not follow the world of gaming. And while the long wait enters its decisive phase, Rockstar Games is about to raise the curtain again. The next Extended Look of GTA 6 will be available on August 27, with a surprisingly distributed presentation through Netflix, as well as the official Rockstar channels. The countdown on November 19, 2026, scheduled release date on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, then reached its peak. But what makes GTA 6 so addictive? The answer is complex: over thirteen years of waiting, the huge weight of GTA V, the reputation of Rockstar, the technological expectations, the size of the project and a fundamental element: GTA 6 arrives at a time when the video industry needs an event capable of speaking to those who are not related to gaming. Despite this, it is interesting to note a section dedicated to the game economy: the advice of buying Gift Card PlayStation Store and Xbox discounted on Instant Gaming to save on the preorder of GTA 6, since thirteen years ago the situation of the video game market was radically different from today. From GTA V to GTA 6: a Biblical inheritance When GTA V arrived in September 2013, the world of video games was completely different. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were not yet on the market; Nintendo Switch did not exist. The concept of “live service” was still beginning, and TikTok or videoludic streaming were unimaginable concepts. GTA V then revolutionized the panorama, transforming Grand Theft Auto from a single product to a persistent experience thanks to the huge success of GTA Online. According to data reported by Reuters, GTA V has exceeded 230 million copies sold, making GTA 6 not only a new game, but a real test bench for Rockstar, called to collect the legacy of one of the biggest hits in gaming history. The real GTA 6 competitor could be GTA V, with its community still incredibly active.
