GTA VI: Rockstar Preves a Colossal Ecosystem with More than 170 Animal Species

By GTA6 Hub editorial team

Grand Theft Auto VI, released on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, announces an impressive title. According to John Ricchio, former producer of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar Games is designing a “mostruous” gaming experience – in the sense of extremely detailed and broad – that far exceeds the previous chapter. Ricchio stressed that the evolution of the dimensions of the GTA and RDR series game worlds has been constantly increasing, with Grand Theft Auto V which was already “notely larger” than Grand Theft Auto IV. The game will be set at Vice City and in the state of Leonida, where Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos will be involved in a criminal conspiracy after a work gone wrong. Survival will depend on their ability to trust each other. The PlayStation page indicates that the game will include over 170 animal species, suggesting a vast and interactive ecosystem. Note that in Australia, starting from 2026, players will have to pass an age verification to be able to access the game. We will continue to follow developments to provide you with further updates.
