Movies GTA 6 leaks: Could be years ago

The leak story about the new GTA VI continues to evolve, with new information suggesting that leaked gameplay footage could be significantly dated. Recently, a substantial amount of unpublished material dedicated to the game emerged online, probably following a violation of company data. The alleged GTA 6 films quickly attracted community attention, but the first analyses raise doubts about their relevance to the current state of the project. According to Insider Gaming, which received a contact from an anonymous source, metadata from one of the leaked videos indicate that the file was encoded using FFmpeg 6.1, a version published in November 2023. This suggests that the video cannot trace back to before that date, but does not provide accurate information on the original recording date of the gameplay. NateTheHate, known insider, believes that the content has at least over a year of age and are not related to the alleged GTA 6 preview sessions recently organized. Spider-Vice, user of the GTA Forums, emphasizes that the use of FFmpeg 6.1 is not necessarily indicative of the age of the video, since the software could also be used today with older versions. As a result, leaked footage could represent a very old build of GTA 6, dated to 2023 or 2024, thus showing a version of the game several years back than that in development for launch in November 2026. The question remains open and awaiting further developments.
