Gameplay and full map of GTA VI leaked online: confirmations or false?
A few days after the new GTA VI presentation, some clips are circulated on the net, showing gameplay sequences and an image of the entire map. The material has not been released through the official channels of Rockstar Games and its authenticity cannot be confirmed. Clips appear well made, but may have been modified or generated by artificial intelligence. It is not even excluded that they come from a previous version of the game, very different from the one currently in development. According to reports, Take-Two and Rockstar Games are removing both the original videos and the numerous copies published by third-party accounts from social media. Such behaviour may suggest the presence of authentic elements, but it is not a definitive confirmation. The alleged videos show Jason Duval engaged in a basketball minigame in the courtyard of his home on the beach, a location already seen in the second official trailer. In another video, the protagonist leads a pick-up in bad condition, engaging in a collision with a van and giving rise to a colluctation with the other driver. The publication of the content was claimed by Cyberleek, who described the operation as a protest against the choice of Take-Two not to propose a traditional physical edition of GTA VI (confections of the game that will not include a disk, but only a code for digital download). The alleged leaks arrive shortly before the extended presentation of GTA VI, scheduled on August 27 at 21:00 Italian on Netflix. The film will also be released on Rockstar Games' YouTube channel six hours after the initial broadcast. GTA VI will be available from 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar Games has not announced a PC version at the moment. Quello che mi convince poco è l’apparente cura con cui sono state realizzate queste clip. Un semplice mod o una build vecchia non si traducono in animazioni di personaggi e veicoli così dettagliate, soprattutto considerando il budget del gioco. L'incidente con il pick-up e la colluttazione sono elementi che ricordano molto i primi capitoli di Vice City, dove le sparatorie a bruciapelo erano una costante – un’eco del passato che potrebbe essere stato sfruttato per generare immediate reazioni nel pubblico. La presenza di Jason Duval in un minigioco di basket nel cortile di casa è un dettaglio curioso, e mi fa pensare a possibili riferimenti al folklore locale, qualcosa su cui Rockstar ha sempre puntato forte. Il fatto che sia già stato visto in un trailer ufficiale suggerisce che la mappa potrebbe essere più grande e interconnessa di quanto inizialmente si pensasse, ampliando i confini dell'ambiente di Grassrivers e Mount Kalaga. L’intervento di Take-Two per rimuovere i video e le ripubblicazioni è un segnale importante – sebbene non definitivo – e indica che c'è qualcosa di vero in quello che stiamo vedendo. Il comportamento aggressivo di Cyberleek, che ha rivendicato la pubblicazione come "protesta" contro l'assenza di edizioni fisiche, aggiunge un ulteriore livello di complessità alla situazione. Resta da vedere se i contenuti del filmato esteso su Netflix confermeranno o smentiranno queste leak, ma è chiaro che la tensione intorno al gioco è altissima in vista della presentazione del 27 agosto. L'idea di una versione PC ancora non annunciata aggiunge un altro elemento di incertezza, soprattutto considerando l'enorme successo dei capitoli precedenti sulla piattaforma.
