GTA VI: An Ecosystem Complex with Over 170 Animals

Grand Theft Auto VI may reserve surprises far beyond the roads of Vice City. According to new information from Game Informer, the long-awaited Kolossus of Rockstar Games will see populated his state of Leonida not only by alligators ready to enter a quiet robbery, but by an incredible number of animal species: more than 170 in total. A wide variety that makes the setting of the game not only vast, but also extraordinarily dynamic and living. The inspiration to Florida will be reflected in the local fauna, with the possibility to meet flamingos, lamantines, pelicans and of course alligators – the latter practically inevitable considering the ambientation in the marsh ecosystem. In addition to autochthonous species, the game will also include real invasive animals, such as green iguanas, reeds of reeds, wild cats and even macachi rhesus, thus replicating the Florida environment. Rockstar is further evolving the technologies used in Red Dead Redemption, where the fauna played a crucial role in building the game world. GTA 6 animals will benefit from advanced visual details such as iridescence, bioluminescence and translucency, as well as specific systems for the representation of feathers and fur of mammals, contributing to create even more realistic creatures. The subdivision of animals in categories – Rare, Discoverable and Legendary – promises to increase the level of challenge and exploration, leaving space for speculations on the content of the most difficult species to find. Rockstar could reserve surprises in the typical way of the study, such as easter egg and hidden mysteries, further enriching the experience. The presence of such a rich ecosystem of different creatures suggests a dense and complex interpretation of Florida. GTA 6 will be released on November 19, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
