Glitch on PS5 and Xbox: a mistake makes many believe that GTA VI is already playable

Are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players already playing Grand Theft Auto 6? No, it's just a glitch. In recent hours, social media has been flooded with reports from PlayStation 5 users and Xbox Series X/S showing Grand Theft Auto 6 among the latest games launched. However, this is a mistake. They are players who have never played Rockstar Games. The appearance of the game in the history of the applications started is due to a recently discovered glitch, exploited by some users to create the illusion that the game was already available. On the Xbox Series X/S, the installation takes place through downloads of a few KB; at the start attempt, you receive an error, but the application is still added to the list of recently started games. On the Sony platform, the error was born from the identification of Grand Theft Auto 6 ID by PlayStation Store database dataminer, used improperly to make the application appear in the list of recent user accounts games. Basically, there is no person who has already played the game; the signal is due exclusively to a glitch. A user, “Ousora1”, has documented the phenomenon on Twitter. Rockstar Games will distribute Grand Theft Auto VI to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026, exclusively. The title belongs to the genre action and is developed by Rockstar Games with the publication by Take-Two Interactive. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the two protagonists of the game.
