Actor of GTA 5, Robert Bogue, Svela Aver Made 60 Provini for GTA VI – An Unexpected Delusion

The actor Robert Bogue, known public for portraying the FIB agent Steve Haines in Grand Theft Auto 5, revealed that he supported sixty auditions for the cast of GTA VI, without obtaining any response from Rockstar Games. The story emerged thanks to direct contact with the user X “Burak” through Instagram, which received surprisingly clear answers from the actor about a topic usually wrapped in secret. Bogue described his frustration: "I'm a bit disappointed by Rockstar right now," recalling how much he loved working with them in the past. He said he had auditioned for over 60 characters, some important, other marginal, without worrying about the specific role. The desire was simply to be part of GTA 6. He received nothing and was never contacted for any of the roles. The situation makes him feel like someone in love who is left without explanation. The link between Bogue and Rockstar is significant: the actor played Red Harlow in Red Dead Revolver, Troy in Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony, and Steve Haines on GTA 5. This long and appreciated collaboration makes even more bitter the lack of response to its many attempts. After the spread of the news online, Bogue added: "I'm sorry to have publicly exposed Rockstar about the number of trials made, but the truth is the truth. In the end, the life of an actor is made of waste. You just need a win every now and then. " It is interesting to note that Rockstar has not always reused the actors: Ned Luke, interpreter of Michael De Santa in GTA 5, starred in Red Dead Redemption 2, although some of his jokes were eliminated to avoid distractions in players. This suggests a case-by-case assessment approach, and in the case of Bogue, it was considered that it was not the right profile for any of the available roles. The tension between Rockstar and its actors is not new, as evidenced by the previous involvement of Michael Hollick, an interpreter of Niko Bellic in GTA 4.
