Take-Two: GTA 6 will revolutionize gaming, but only if the graphics are up

Take-Two Interactive reported that Grand Theft Auto VI will be released by next fiscal year. The planned time window extends between April 2024 and March 2025, without indication of a precise date. The CEO, Strauss Zelnick, expressed the belief that the game can revolutionize the gaming industry, while not providing further details on the release date or title specifications. The wait among fans is palpable. Zelnick also outlined an ambitious prediction: within three years the video game stream will finally reach the commercial quality that industry has pursued for decades, provided that Grand Theft Auto 6 can be performed with the same graphical loyalty and responsiveness of traditional consoles. The statement was made during a session of questions and answers with investors, following the publication of Take-Two's financial report. One important element concerns physical distribution: Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will not be available in a physical disk version. There are also rumors about the abandonment of Steam's Xbox and a reprocessing of the PC gaming strategy. The video game market continues to focus on digital, as Zelnick underlines, which provides that over 90% of the company’s business comes from the online channel. Take-Two is also monitoring the spread of false indiscretions generated by artificial intelligence, while waiting for the release of the third trailer of GTA 6. E poi, cosa succede a Cal Hampton e Raul Bautista, i programmatori responsabili dell’ottimizzazione?
