The choice to involve the streaming platform immediately caught the attention of fans. Rockstar and Netflix had already collaborated in the past to bring the original trilogy of Grand Theft Auto on mobile, but this time the project directly concerns the launch of GTA VI, transforming the communication of the game into a real live-streaming event. At the moment no specific details have been disseminated on the content of the special. It could be a longer trailer, an analysis of the world of Leonida and Vice City, or a presentation dedicated to characters, plot and new gameplay features. What is certain is that the wait remains very high. GTA VI will be released on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and is preparing to be one of the most important videoludic launches in gaming history. After years of voices, leaks of news and trailers that dominated social media, Rockstar finally seems ready to unveil a new dowel of his universe. And this time he will do it through Netflix. La scelta di Netflix come piattaforma per questo "extended look" mi convince poco. Dopo anni di silenzi e fughe di notizie, l’approccio è decisamente più soft rispetto a quello che ci si aspetterebbe da Rockstar. Il fatto che si concentrino su Leonida e Vice City, come anticipato anche dall'articolo, suggerisce un tentativo di creare un legame con le vecchie mappe della saga, una mossa intelligente per catturare l'attenzione di una fanbase affezionata. Tuttavia, la natura "extended look" potrebbe risultare un po' troppo contenuta: mi aspetto qualcosa di più ambizioso, magari qualche accenno alla profondità del gameplay che, a giudicare dai trailer, sembra essere uno dei punti di forza di GTA VI. Non mi stupirei se l’evento si concentrasse soprattutto sul mondo di Ambrosia e Grassrivers, data la loro importanza nella trama. Sarebbe interessante vedere se ci saranno indizi su Raul Bautista, visto il suo ruolo nelle anticipazioni. L'impatto della collaborazione con Netflix rimane da valutare; la decisione di includere YouTube dopo la trasmissione iniziale indica un tentativo di massimizzare la visibilità, ma resta da capire se lo streaming live avrà davvero l'effetto desiderato nel creare una vera e propria "community" attorno al gioco, oppure se si tratterà solo di un evento mediatico.
