GTA VI: An Extended Look in Streaming on Netflix on August 27th

Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive announced “An Extended Look”, a presentation dedicated to Grand Theft Auto VI, which will be initially broadcast on Netflix on August 27, then released on the official Rockstar channels, including YouTube. The event will offer a more detailed look on the new chapter of the series, in view of the release fixed on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The choice of a first vision on Netflix represents a change of strategy compared to previous trailers, with the aim of expanding the potential audience of the announcement. The Italian event will be broadcast at 21:00 on August 27, with the footage available six hours later on the official channels. The protagonists presented are Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, both armed and with the face covered. It is not yet clear the duration or structure of the Extended Look, nor whether extensive gameplay will be shown or whether the video will be in line with the third trailer expected by the community. So far, Rockstar released two trailers in 2023 and 2025, without delving into the game mechanics. GTA VI will take place in Vice City, a city inspired by Miami in the state of Leonida. Important details such as support for 60 frames per second and interaction modes with the two protagonists remain to be confirmed. The new presentation comes at a key moment, approaching the output, when the focus is on the gaming systems, performance and breadth of the experience offered. The sale of Grand Theft Auto V, which exceeded the 230 million copies sold, continues to make the difference in the market, while Rockstar confirms the development of the successor, started after the online spread of gameplay videos died in 2022. The Netflix operation strengthens the collaboration already begun with “The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition” for mobile devices. Brandon Riegg, vice president of Netflix’s non-fiction series, commented: "The wait and passion around Grand Theft Auto VI are unprecedented."
