Rockstar explains why GTA VI will not include Disney World and SeaWorld: focus on narrative
Rockstar Games has clarified that the fictional version of Florida, called state of Leonida in the GTA 6 universe, will not be a pedisseous repetition of real places like Disney World or SeaWorld. In an interview with Game Informer, Paul MacPherson, senior vice president of environment art, explained that the study had to make a strict selection of environments to adhere to narrative and game design requirements, while maintaining the goal of returning the player to the authentic local atmosphere. “We must continually evaluate the diversity of landscapes, cities, structures, landmarks, landscapes, plant species, rock formations and everything else before working with the design and narrative team to distill a list that works best and serve the needs of the game,” MacPherson said. “So, even if we may not have those specific places, all we have accomplished is oriented to offer the true complete experience of Florida. ” The map of GTA 6 will be characterized by a high density of elements and activities, with more than 170 animal species, including some rare. The development team conducted extensive research visiting strip clubs and following former police officers to study the region. Despite the exclusion of iconic tourist attractions, Rockstar aims to create an immersive and immersive experience, focused on the narration and exploration of the game world, with particular attention to the setting of Florida, including the region of Port Gellhorn, Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga and Ambrosia. The goal is to offer an authentic representation of the local atmosphere, without compromise for the gaming experience.
