The expectation for the release of GTA VI is such that it has translated into impressive numbers the preorders of the new title of Rockstar Games. According to internal sources and financial analysis, the game set at Vice City has cashed over a billion dollars in the first hours since the launch of pre-orders. The data, provided by Anthony Palomba of the Darden School of Business of the University of Virginia, show an unprecedented interest in the new chapter of the saga. The success of the pre-orders has helped to increase the market value of Take-Two Interactive by almost 3% in the early stages of bargaining. Tom Henderson, considered one of the most reliable insiders in the industry, had already foreseen this milestone. Preliminary estimates indicate that GTA VI could have generated approximately $3 billion of revenue in the first 24 hours, with at least 39 million copies sold. Initially it was estimated to be a 6:1 pre-order ratio on PS5 compared to Xbox Series X|S, although Microsoft requested caution, waiting for Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive official data. GTA VI will be available on 19 November 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X and, according to the latest indiscretions, also for a Pro version of PS5. The genre is action and is developed by Rockstar Games, with Take-Two Interactive as a publisher. The main protagonists will be Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.
