Netflix, GTA VI Exclusive Preview: “An Extended Look” in Streaming on August 27th

Rockstar Games announced an exclusive preview of Grand Theft Auto 6, called "An Extended Look", which will be available on Netflix on August 27. The event will be streamed at 15:00 ET (3:00 PM) on Netflix and, with a six-hour exclusivity window, replayed at 21:00 ET (9:00 PM) on the official YouTube channel of Rockstar Games and on the website of Grand Theft Auto VI. Vision does not require a Netflix subscription, but only patience. The preview will represent a real presentation, different from the usual 3-minute trailer, suggesting the use of real gameplay with demonstration of the user interface, the structure of the missions and the way in which the protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos move in the state of Leonida. The partnership with Netflix indicates Rockstar's approach more oriented to a streaming event than a simple marketing campaign. The preview duration has not yet been disclosed, but the setting strongly points to the presence of real gameplay. The game, set in the world of Vice City and with influences of Port Gellhorn and Grassrivers, will be released on November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-orders are already open for standard editions (79.99$) and final (99.99$). The plot will follow Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos in a conspiracy that extends for the state of Leonida after a work gone wrong. No multiplayer component is expected at launch. Dre'Quan Priest, Raul Bautista, Boobie Ike and Brian Heder are among the main characters. Real Dimez and Cal Hampton appear in the trailers released. Vapid Stanier and Only Raw Records will be present in the game. Il fatto che l’anteprima si concentri su gameplay reale e sull’interfaccia utente mi convince molto. A questo punto, considerando le ultime uscite della serie, sospetto che Rockstar voglia dimostrare il livello di dettaglio e la complessità del sistema di progressione, un aspetto che spesso viene relegato a schermo solo nei trailer più lunghi. Il fatto che Lucia Caminos e Jason Duval siano i protagonisti dello sguardo esteso su Leonida suggerisce una forte enfasi sulla narrazione e sul loro ruolo centrale nel mistero alla base della trama, non tanto sull’azione pura. Mi pare un'opportunità per vedere se la colonna sonora, che sappiamo essere fortemente influenzata da Only Raw Records, si integra bene con le ambientazioni di Vice City, Port Gellhorn e Grassrivers; se il design dei veicoli come il Vapid Stanier è stato curato allo stesso livello delle auto iconiche del passato.
