Teach from Million Dollars in Miami for GTA VI: Rockstar Turns Florida into Vice City

Less than two months after the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games' promotional plan is reaching unprecedented levels. A huge sign with the slogan “Welcome to Vice City” was installed on the roof of the Kaseya Center in Miami, turning one of the most iconic stages of the city into a gigantic reference to the world of GTA VI. The campaign, which is estimated to cost almost a million dollars, highlights Rockstar's ambition to make the game a physical and tangible presence in reality. The link between Vice City and Florida is now evident: the new state of Leonida, inspired by reality, amplifies this connection. The sign, positioned through a complex operation that required the use of a helicopter, immediately attracted the attention of residents, enthusiasts and curious, creating a surreal scenario where the boundary between game and city becomes almost invisible. The very high cost of the operation (near the million dollars) reflects the scope of the marketing machine Rockstar is putting in place for the launch of GTA VI. It is said that this is only part of a larger plan, with proposals for use of other infrastructure and public places in Miami. The initiative, however, is not without dispute. Local representatives, including the county sheriff and administration representatives, expressed concerns about the official association of the Miami-Dade territory with Vice City, fearing the impact on the image of the saga. Despite these objections, the agreement on the Kaseya Center was approved. GTA 6 will be available on 19 November 2026 on PS5.
