Take-Two Svela GTA 6 Release Date: Autumn 2025 without Subscriptions

The GTA VI release date is finally clear: the new Rockstar Games title, after over twelve years of waiting, will arrive on the market in autumn 2025. This decision follows the statements of Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, who reiterated the company's commitment to a "first-level" product with a premium price. Zelnick clearly expressed Take-Two's position regarding the launch strategies adopted by Microsoft and Playstation, especially the Game Pass and subscription services that offer immediate access to numerous titles. As stated at GamesIndustry.biz, "No, it will not affect our decisions", adding that the company believes that players are still willing to invest significant figures for a title like GTA VI. The game will then include a high launch cost, without subscription options or similar services. Rockstar Games will focus exclusively on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, anticipating release on PC and old-generation consoles. This choice is dictated by the long development of the project, which has seen at the centre the exploration of new settings with Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. The publisher aims to launch without surprises or excessive attempts to compete with emerging market strategies. The development team works to ensure a high quality product, ready to meet the expectations of fans who have been waiting for this moment for years.
