GTA VI: Netflix anticipates the 6-hour Extended Look on August 27

Grand Theft Auto VI will be back on August 27, 2026 with an official Rockstar Games appointment. The event, called “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look”, will represent a study dedicated to the new chapter of the series and will be premiered on Netflix, then available on the official Rockstar channels. The announcement highlights the focus around Grand Theft Auto VI, whose release is scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The appointment with “An Extended Look” is scheduled for Thursday, August 27. Netflix will broadcast the deepening at 15:00 ET (21:00 in Italy). The subscribers will then have access to the video six hours in advance of the free publication. The Extended Look will then arrive on the official YouTube channel of Rockstar Games and on the site of GTA 6 at 21:00 ET (Italian 03:00 of August 28). For those who want to see the new images immediately, Netflix will represent the first opportunity. Those who prefer to wait for the free publication will be able to recover the video a few hours later. Rockstar has not yet specified exactly what content will be shown in the new deepening. It is therefore not possible to say with certainty whether we will witness a long demonstration of the game system or a real Trailer 3. The study could focus on the world of play, on the characters Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, on the activities of the state of Leonida or show new sequences directly from the game. Collaboration with Netflix is an unusual aspect of the announcement: the transmission service will have a six-hour preview window, allowing its subscribers to see the new material before publication on the Rockstar channels. This does not mean that the video will remain exclusive to Netflix; after the initial six hours it will be available for free on YouTube and on the official website of Grand Theft Auto VI. GTA 6 remains scheduled for November 2026. L’accordo con Netflix è un colpo interessante, soprattutto per il tipo di pubblico che il servizio di streaming attira. Non mi convince poco l'idea di una finestra di anteprima così ampia, visto che la strategia di Rockstar finora ha sempre puntato sul mistero e sull'attesa. Se questo "Extended Look" si rivela eccessivamente corposo, rischia di minare parte dell'entusiasmo per il lancio vero e proprio; mi aspetto, almeno, qualche accenno alla mappa del mondo, che pare essere un elemento centrale del gameplay, visto quanto abbiamo visto nei trailer precedenti. La menzione di Jason Duval e Lucia Caminos è curiosa: è probabile che il focus sull’approfondimento della trama sia concentrato sul loro ruolo nello Stato di Leonida, tenuto conto delle ultime indiscrezioni sulle dinamiche internazionali presenti nel gioco. Resta da vedere se l'Extended Look farà luce anche sui settori industriali di Ambrosia e Grassrivers, dati i riferimenti fatti nei trailer. L'inclusione del Vapid Stanier nel gameplay potrebbe essere un riferimento diretto alla nuova auto iconica del titolo.
