Take-Two Interactive: Zelnick reassures on the offer of GTA VI, equity rally

Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. (TTWO) recorded an increase in the Friday session, following the analysis of the results of the first fiscal quarter of 2027 of the video game publisher and the confirmation of forecasts for the whole year. The company has evidenced an increase in net revenues, but a decline in net bookings and a wider quarterly loss, with the recurring expense of consumers that remains the main factor of gain in view of the launch of “Grand Theft Auto VI” fixed on 19 November. Take-Two has recorded net revenues of GAAP pairs to 1,53 billion dollars for the first fiscal trimester concluded on 30 June 2026, in increase regarding the 1,50 billion dollars of the same period of 2025. Net bookings decreased by 3% on an annual basis to 1,39 billion dollars by 1,42 billion, missing the estimates of analysts indicating $1,41 billion. Consumer recurring expenditure fell by 1%, but still accounted for 84% of total net bookings. CEO Strauss Zelnick responded to concerns about the basic price of $80 for GTA VI, stating that Take-Two’s goal is to offer added value and not maximize prices. He pointed out how Rockstar Games is renowned for creating experiences that exceed consumer spending expectations, stating that “Grand Theft Auto VI” will prove “an incredible deal”, considering its reach and longevity. Zelnick also highlighted the solidity of the Take-Two portfolio and effective management by its labels.
