Collector's Edition GTA VI: the Vice City Collection costs 400€ – but the game is missing

Less than two months after the official release of Grand Theft Auto VI (19 November on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X), Rockstar Games unveiled the Collector’s Edition dedicated to the title, called “The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection”, available in preorder for €399.99 on the official store. The news, which generated a certain online clamor, does not include a physical copy of the game or a digital code. A trend now common in the Collector’s Edition, but the content of the box still arouses curiosity and some perplexity. The package, of considerable dimensions (48 x 34 x 32 cm), resumes the aesthetics of the character Macca l'Alligatore, iconic protagonist of the TV series fictitious that populated the narrative universe of GTA VI, set in the state of Leonida. The contents of the collection are eleven elements: a miniature statuette of Macca the Alligatore with openable base and compartment to guard objects; a pair of sunglasses Oakley Frogskins with lenses Prizm Sapphire and logo GTA VI in pink Vice City; a shoulder bag in black and pink lining and hinge YKK; a snapback hat New Era 9FORTY with logo Regarding the cost, the Collector’s Edition stands at 400€, without including the game itself. Although the content offers a range of themed gadgets, some of which may have a market value higher than the package sum, it remains to be seen whether the Collector's Edition appeal will be sufficient to justify the investment.
