Rockstar Games launched the preorders of a new Collector's Edition dedicated to Grand Theft Auto VI, called “The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection”, with scheduled release on November 19, 2026. The package, available in the United States at the price of $399.99, includes eleven collector's items related to the world of Vice City and Leonida. Among the most appreciated elements are a miniature statue of the character Macca the Gator, a pair of custom Oakley Frogskins glasses, a New Era hat and a bag inspired by Leonida Keys. A particular detail is the front-back poster with the map of Leonida, considered one of the most attractive objects for collectors. However, the most controversial decision concerns the absence of GTA 6 within the package. The game will have to be purchased separately, generating a total cost that largely exceeds that of a traditional Collector's Edition. The price of $400 for the “The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection” rekindled the debate on Rockstar Games’ collector’s editions, in particular comparing it to past experiences with GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. The timing of the game's release, scheduled for 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, coincides with an increase in the intensity of the Rockstar Games promotional campaign, culminated in the giant sign “Welcome to Vice City” in Miami and in the publication of the Collector’s Box. The crucial question remains: 400 dollars for a selection of gadgets are an excessive figure even for the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI?
