Blacksmith Master in Launching Same Day of GTA VI – Hooded Horse Rockstar Challenge

By GTA6 Hub editorial team

The new title Blacksmith Master will arrive on November 19, exactly on the day of the launch of GTA VI, with an exclusive open-world version for consoles. The decision, the result of a bold strategy, responds to the impossibility of the PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI. The videoludic market of the last quarter of 2026 prepares for a top of exits with the highly anticipated chapter of Grand Theft Auto. However, two studies, Devolver Digital and Hooded Horse (editor of Manor Lords), decided to challenge Rockstar Games by publishing their titles on the same day, on November 19th. Blacksmith Master, developed by Untitled Studio***, will debut in its 1.0 version, while GTA VI will only be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game, which collected a score of 84% during the early access phase, focuses on the management of a medieval furnace: players will supervise craftsmen, produce weapons and tools, and manage their business. Tim Bender, CEO of Hooded Horse, justified the choice with an admirable irony: “Does GTA go out the same day? Actually it's a launch strategy: whoever searches for a PC version to steal cars and shoot enemies will find that he prefers to control characters who hammer irons.” Bender also points out that the situation is different from Hollow Knight: Silksong, when indie and middle-range titles feared the impact of a great launch. The company does not intend to compete directly with GTA VI, but aims at a specific audience interested in management and simulation titles. The independent team has in fact observed how often AAA action-adventure studies postpone their own exits to avoid the "Rockstar" effect, forgetting that their audience is much more specific and less broad.
