GTA 6: The Weapon Wheel of Rockstar Returns – But how many weapons will be there?

The question about how many weapons you can bring to GTA 6 is at the heart of the discussions, but Rockstar Games has not yet provided an official number. On 28 August 2026, there is no definitive answer as “four weapons” or “eight total slots”. It seems that the game abandons the infinite arsenal of GTA V in favor of a more limited and credible system, inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2. The weapon wheel, shown in the Extended Look, allows the player to quickly choose weapons through a radial menu, although the available amount could be reduced compared to the previous title. The fast interface (weapon wheel) differs from the main inventory that manages the accumulation and transport of weapons, defining what it is possible to carry with it and where the rest of the equipment is kept. The game design philosophy seems to be more selective, without revealing a definitive number of slots. Rockstar could change the HUD and balance up to the last weeks of development. The crucial question is not only “how many”, but how the loadout will be organized: how many slots for guns, rifles, shotguns, precision weapons and explosives; if long weapons will be visible; if the trunk of the car will work as a deposit; and how much the choice will affect the robberies. The behavior of the characters Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos in terms of separate arsenals will be a key factor in the gameplay.
