According to PlayStationSize leaks, the initial GTA VI download on PlayStation 5 could reach 210 GB. The figure, emerging from Sony servers, confirms previous estimates that ranged between 150 and 200 GB. For comparison, GTA V occupies about 87 GB on PS5 and 94 GB on Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar could double this size for a title of this size, a plausible prediction considering the scale of the project. The official estimates range between 150 and 200 GB. However, viral images showing downloads of 677 GB and 750 GB were fake. The original 825GB PS5 console lives in a permanent state of "cancel something to install something". To make GTA VI work best, you need to free at least 250 GB of disk space or add a PCIe Gen4 compatible M.2 NVMe SSD with read speeds of more than 5,500 MB/s. On the Xbox Series X/S, the games start from the internal SSD or a Storage Expansion Card (Seagate or WD) that fits into the slot on the back. The initial download for GTA VI is important: its compatibility with current consoles will largely depend on the available storage capacity.
