GTA VI: PEGI and Zelate Classifications Indicate Scenes of explicit sex

Update of 2 October 2026 at 14:54 ET The PEGI classification for GTA 6 revealed the presence of “sex scenes”, an absolute first for the series, as reported by the user of Reddit ‘AashyLarry’ through an image of the classification. The new information emerges as a result of regional classifications already released. The PEGI classification (Pan European Game Information), used in most of Europe and the United Kingdom, has attributed to GTA 6 the classification 18, with the logo "sex", confirming the indications of other regions. This is the same level of classification as Cyberpunk 2077, known for sex scenes and integral frontal nudity, and in the same way to GTA V, although not presenting similar content. The decision is part of the classifications envisaged by the different organizations. The ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board), which evaluates North America, has assigned to all GTA games a classification M 17+, indicating the presence of “blood, dark language and violence”, as well as “express sexual content” and “use of drugs”. It is important to note that the PEGI and the Te Mana Whakaatu Classifications Office of New Zealand have both assigned to GTA 6 the classification "Restricted 18", making the use of the game illegal for children under 18 years. This despite GTA V, although being ranked with the same level, did not present explicit sexual content.
