GTA VI: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos will have only four firearms - a realistic approach according to Rockstar

GTA VI abandons the infinite inventory of Grand Theft Auto V, limiting the transportable weapons for characters Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos to a maximum of four. The decision, announced by Rockstar Games co-study director Rob Nelson in a recent TGG interview, reflects an aspiration to the greater narrative and environmental veracity of the new title. According to Nelson, the game aims to simulate a more credible behavior of non-playing characters (PNJ) and their reactions to the player's weapons. In GTA V, it was possible to suddenly extract pump rifles in front of passers-by without consequences, a mechanic that would not be sustainable in GTA VI, set in the imaginary state of Leonida. The weapons management system will take into account the type of weapon transported and its use. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos can carry two long weapons (assault fires, pumps or machine guns), two hidden, explosive and white weapons. Other weapons, such as assault rifles to be used in combat, will be intended for transport within vehicles to be recovered in case of need. The reaction of the inhabitants of the world of play will be dynamic: the simple possession of a long weapon will not provoke panic, but the public use of a rifle or similar firearm will generate immediate and realistic reactions: escapes, attacks on the guard or alert to the police. The attention to detail is part of a broader strategy to make GTA VI the most realistic title ever made by Rockstar Games, requiring the player to manage supplies, relationships with the partner (Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos), funding and even physical training to optimize his skills.
