Pre-orders of GTA 6: Take-Two Satisfied with Outstanding Admission
As reported by Insider Gaming, in a press release released today on Friday, August 7, on the financial results of the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027, Take-Two Interactive (the company that controls Rockstar Games) expressed satisfaction for the start of the preorders of Grand Theft Auto 6, started on June 25 both for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The statement reads: “The global enthusiasm for the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 continues to grow, with the title that has recorded an exceptional start of the preorders.” No specific data has been provided on the number of preorders or revenues generated, as provided for in the situation; however, the estimates of the PlayStation Store have long indicated that the game would be among the most ordered. Grand Theft Auto 6 will be a key pillar for Take-Two in 2027 and beyond, with a net sales forecast of 8 billion dollars (an increase of 20% compared to the previous year), with Rockstar destined to contribute approximately 37% of that figure. The new Rockstar Games saga chapter will be available from November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Il fatturato stimato di 8 miliardi di dollari rappresenta un salto significativo rispetto all'anno precedente, e il contributo del 37% da parte di Rockstar suggerisce che l'azienda punta a sfruttare al massimo l'appeal del titolo per consolidare la propria posizione nel mercato. Questo dato, unitamente alla tempistica del lancio fissata per il 19 novembre, lascia presagire una forte competizione con altre uscite chiave del 2027, specie considerando il successo dimostrato da precedenti capitoli della saga come quello di Vice City. Mi convince poco che l'azienda si limiti a confermare solo che lo sviluppo procede senza intoppi; un accenno al tipo di contenuti in arrivo, magari legati alla storia di Lucia Caminos o alle dinamiche con le forze dell’ordine guidate da Brian Heder, avrebbe sicuramente aggiunto valore alla comunicazione.
