Trailer GTA 6 on Netflix: Jason Duval and Lucía Caminos in Action a Vice City
Rockstar released a 26-minute extended trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI, now available on Netflix. The video offers a thorough look on the open world game, focusing on Vice City, its main characters – Jason Duval and Lucía Caminos – and the game mechanics, filmed on PlayStation 5. The trailer opens with Jason and Lucía following the tracks of a dangerous criminal nicknamed “Boobie” to recover a package. The karma system, which rewards or penalises the player based on his actions, is introduced immediately, showing how thefts and other negative activities have consequences in the game. The next scene sees the police intervene during a raid on a drug lab, starting a third-person shooting and a hectic escape through the buildings of Vice City, which offers surprising details like a minigame for car theft. Jason explores the apartment shared with Lucía, entertaining himself with parody spots in the iconic style of Rockstar. Lucía stands out for his presence at a party, while the two protagonists interact with Brian Heder, one of the secondary characters who will assist them in missions, warning Jason of the danger of exaggerating. The narrative develops with Lucía in a pursuit in Leónida, inspired by Florida, culminating in a shooting against a helicopter and law enforcement, reaching a high score in the search interface. The gameplay reveals manic attention to detail: the game takes into account the recognition of clothes by the police, encouraging the player to change them to avoid arrests. The trailer includes a variety of minigames, including kayaking, weight lifting sessions and motor racing inspired by Gran Turismo, as well as daring stunts like bringing a streamer into the boot during a live ride. The character change is fluid and intuitive, similar to the system introduced in Grand Theft Auto V. The last scene shows the two protagonists at a party, where they provide coverage to another player that broadcasts live.
