Take-Two Focus on the Single Campaign of GTA VI, Posticipate le Novità su GTA Online

Grand Theft Auto VI fans eagerly await news on the online component of the game, but Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games decided to initially focus on promoting the single-player campaign. As journalist Jason Schreier, known for his accurate video game surveys, the publisher does not include microtransactions in the main version of the game and paused discussions about the future of GTA Online, focusing on offline experience. Schreier explained that Take-Two is addressing the communication dedicated to GTA VI exclusively to the individual mode, without expecting to include internal transactions in this part. The company does not intend to deal with GTA Online monetization strategies or its short-term future. The journalist also mentioned the estimated annual revenues for GTA Online, set to $500 million, an unofficial figure from Take-Two. In addition, during a recent conversation with Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, it was revealed that the predictions of Grand Theft Auto VI largely exceeded the company's initial projections, indicating a strong commercial interest even before the launch. Zelnick announced that an extended preview of the game will show a significant amount of gameplay, and justified the decision to release the title on Netflix by defining it as an “imperdible” event. The GTA VI release is scheduled for November 19, with versions available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Take-Two Interactive has set the basic price of the game to $80 in the United States and $450 R$ in Brazil, defining the cost an “incredible deal”.
