Xbox secures GTA VI cloud streaming at launch

Microsoft gained exclusive rights for GTA VI's cloud streaming at the time of launch, set on November 19, 2026. Thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming, you can start the game on PC and other supported devices without needing to purchase a console. The Verge cites sources aware of Microsoft's plans. Asha Sharma, head of Xbox, also communicated to the employees of the company that, for the release of GTA 6, the division is preparing something that “no other platform owner is doing”. Officially, Microsoft and Rockstar have not yet confirmed the agreement. If the information is correct, the GTA VI launch will be available for cloud startup exclusively via Xbox Cloud Gaming. The duration of the exclusive agreement is not known. This way, PC users will be able to play cloud already from the day of release, while the native version of GTA 6 for Windows has not yet been announced. Officially, Rockstar will release the game on November 19, 2026 only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The deal coincides with important changes to Xbox Cloud Gaming. From November, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have 15 hours of cloud gaming per month, Premium 10 hours and Essential 5 hours. Once the limit is exhausted, you can buy additional hours separately. In addition, according to The Verge, Microsoft will open Xbox Cloud Gaming to users without Game Pass subscription and offer time packages with consumer payment. This scheme will allow PC, smartphone and other compatible devices to start GTA VI via cloud. Microsoft has not yet announced the cost of additional hours. Following the publication of The Verge, Matthew Ball, head of Xbox strategy, denied information. According to him, the deal is not exclusive and only concerns the GTA 6 streaming on Xbox consoles. Upon launch you will not be able to play on PC via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos will be at the center of the action.
