Speculations on Ocarina of Time and an Improbable Overlay with GTA VI

The remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time could be coming long before the launch of GTA 6 – a scheduled date for November 19, 2026. Recent speculations focus on a possible Ocarina of Time debut on November 12, 2026, just a week before the Grand Theft Auto VI exit. The timing is fed by clues collected by the community, especially by the appearance and subsequent removal of two unusual amiibos – Sword Kirby and Dragoon and Noir Dede – from the Nintendo online store. The release date set for these amiibos (12 November 2026) has generated speculations on their connection with a possible remake of Ocarina of Time, in line with past Nintendo schemes that coincides the launch of new amiibos with the release of specific games. Reddit further powered the voices, citing earlier similar cases among the amiibo Mineru’s Construct, Fortune’s Weave, Meta Knight and Shadow Star, Dedede and Tank Star, where the release date was made known before the game they were associated with. The launch window of 12 November 2026 could be considered uncomfortable for the gaming market, carefully avoiding the release of Barbie Rewind (hypothetic) not to collide with the expected arrival of GTA VI. Although Ocarina of Time has to debut on a future Nintendo console, the time overlap is mainly symbolic, given the expected absence of Rockstar Games on Switch 2. At the moment, there are no official confirmations from Nintendo or the release date of Ocarina of Time or the removal of amiibo cards, which could be a simple coincidence. We are waiting for further developments in the coming weeks and reread our previous editorial on the title, and the announcement trailer.
