The map of GTA VI doubles with respect to GTA V: hurricanes, 170 animal species and unexplored regions

Grand Theft Auto 6 is really revolutionary. With every new information, the sequel is becoming increasingly detailed. The game map, called Leonida and based on Florida, will be significantly larger than that of GTA V. According to indiscretions, Rockstar aims to double the size, opening the way to an unpublished gaming experience. The latest information comes from the exclusive article on the cover of Game Informer published on September 29, with Aaron Garbut of Rockstar among the protagonists. GTA 6 will be launched on November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, without currently listing a PC version. The setting is in the territory of the new state of Leonida, an interpretation of Florida Rockstar. The climate will be dynamic and realistic: Rockstar has described storms with dense clouds, strong winds, a charged atmosphere and torrential rains, but has not yet communicated the frequency of hurricanes or their impact on missions. The weather system is now localized and persistent on the whole map, also affecting hair and debris on the roofs and moving water into the shoes. Leonida will host over 170 animal species, including more than 60 types of birds and over 30 terrestrial mammals, as well as fish and reptiles. Manates, flamingos, pelicans and alligators are just some of the specimens already identified. The wildlife is categorized in Rare, Discoverable and Legendary to encourage retail hunting. The cover also includes a long list of activities: base jumping, scuba diving, kayaking, airboat and jet ski, road and off-road racing, billiards, excursions, gyms, zoos and mini golf courses. Rockstar's marketing campaign has already reached Miami, where a sign in style Vice City of the value of 975.000 dollars was installed. The six regions of Leonida: Tbreak’s report on the cover of Game Informer. If you explored GTA 5 long and wide, you know how wide the map was. Considering that Leonida will be double the size of the world of GTA 5 is simply impressive, especially if you consider the graphic qualities of the new game. In fact, Vice City is only a part of Leonida; there are five main regions to explore. GTA 5 covered about 29.3 square miles. If Rockstar is right, the world of GTA 6 will be at least 58.6 square miles. While we expect to know the exact mileage of the game, it might be equally interesting to know how long it would take to travel the map from one end to another. The original article was published on Forbes.
