GTA VI: An Extended Look in Streaming on Netflix Before Official Release

The wait for Grand Theft Auto VI intensifies with the announcement of a first extended preview, called "An Extended Look", which will debut on August 27 on Netflix. The decision of Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive to initially distribute the material through the streaming platform indicates an attempt to maximise the audience of the new saga chapter, marked by the release scheduled for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The event, broadcast live on Netflix at 21:00 Italian, will be followed by the publication on the official channels of Rockstar Games, including YouTube, offering all fans the opportunity to attend the presentation. The content of the "Extended Look" remains unknown at the moment, although there is no confirmation of extensive gameplay or an insight into the game mechanics. The presence on Netflix also emphasizes the consolidation of the partnership between Rockstar and the streaming platform, following the success of "The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition" for mobile devices. Brandon Riegg, vice president of Netflix’s non-fiction series, expressed the enthusiasm spread around GTA VI, highlighting an “expectation and unprecedented passion”. The game, set in the Miami-inspired city of Vice City, in the state of Leonida, presents itself as a return to the origins of the series, focusing on the figures of Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, armed portraits and covered face. Despite the huge commercial success of GTA V – which exceeded 230 million copies sold in May – issues relating to performance remain open, support 60 frames per second and deepening the activities of the protagonists. The presentation is therefore the first step for a more detailed analysis of the novelties offered by GTA VI before its launch.
