GTA VI: the memories that made us love the Rockstar saga

Waiting for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, scheduled for November 19, 2026, we retrace the fundamental stages of the history of the Rockstar Games saga, starting from those experiences that helped to forge the love of millions of players for this iconic series. Everything began with GTA III, the revolutionary title that introduced 3D graphics and third-person visual. The most vivid memory of that era is linked to the incredible wonder experienced by many young people when, for the first time, you can explore a whole city in a three-dimensional environment. The feeling was that of absolute freedom, of being able to move freely and discover every corner of that city "at our service". The next step was GTA Vice City, a special gift arrived in 2002, coinciding with the arrival of PlayStation 2 in the home of many. The memory of that title is even more linked to Christmas, to the expectation and emotion of receiving a new game for the favorite console. Then came GTA San Andreas, the chapter that in 2004 drove the players mad. The immediate purchase of the special edition game, the result of the spasmodic wait and the confidence placed in Rockstar Games, is an indelible memory for many. The sudden visit of a schoolmate, eager to see if the promises of San Andreas were maintained, represented a moment of sharing and common joy. GTA IV, released in 2008, did not have the same emotional impact on the first players, while remaining an excellent title in the history of the saga. The memories linked to that chapter are more specific, focused on the appreciation for the two DLC, The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and Damned, which greatly expanded the game experience. GTA V, released in 2013, reported interest in the saga, thanks to its very high technical level and the characteristic humor of Rockstar Games. The first memory of the day of departure is linked to the feeling of being catapulted in a colorful world full of surprises, with a compelling history and a bustling atmosphere. These are just some of the memories that helped make GTA VI not only a game, but a real cultural phenomenon. SALTA
