The White House made her voice heard in the growing online nervousness about the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, publishing an image depicting President Donald Trump, a futuristic flying supercar and Marine One. The White House official account on X (formerly Twitter) shared the image on Friday, October 16, 2026, with a familiar caption to anyone who patiently waited for Rockstar Games' next blockbuster. "We have it with flying cars before GTA 6", we read in the post. The illustration shows Trump walking next to a flying sports car while a helicopter similar to Marine One flying. The artwork also includes the slogan “Make America Great Again” in characters inspired by the Grand Theft Auto saga. This is the last example of how the administration is taking popular video game images for its messages on official social media. Tesla and her Flying Car: A Tribute to GTA VI The post follows the launch of the second-generation Tesla Roadster, long-awaited, which took place on October 15 in a SpaceX facility in Texas. During the demonstration, the electric car used compressed gas engines to take off, execute a sorolotto and land on the wheels. According to the Associated Press, the car also accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in less than a second. Anyone hoping to buy a flying car will have to wait: Tesla plans to start production for consumers only in 2028 and the vehicle must still exceed numerous regulatory obstacles before being able to operate legally on public roads. This makes the irony of the White House particularly appropriate. Grand Theft Auto VI: a Lento Development GTA VI also had a long development cycle and several delays. Rockstar plans to release the game on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The new title shows players to Vice City and the fictitious state of Leonida, starring Jason and Lucia moving through a complex criminal conspiracy. Why Marine One appears in the Meme of the White House The inclusion of Marine One gives the game an unusual military connection to humor. Marine One is the call signal used every time the President is on board a military aircraft. HMX-1, commonly known as Marine Helicopter Squadron One, manages presidential helicopters and is based at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. According to the Marines, this squadron has been supporting presidential air transport since 1957, when President Dwight D. Eisenhower started using helicopters to travel between locations. The administration has previously incorporated video game images in its communications. For example, in March of last year the White House published a video that combined footage of military attacks against Iran with clips taken from Top Gun, Halo and other film properties, sparking criticism for the presentation of military operations. The most recent post focuses on a slightly different subject: a VERDETTO: MISTO L’intervento della Casa Bianca è, per usare un eufemismo, inaspettato.
